Ahead of the 2023 general elections, a poll conducted has favoured two presidential aspirants in the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Elanza News can report.
The result from a survey conducted by Nextier, a multi-competency advisory firm and Data-Tier, a data analytics and digital communications firm which was released on Thursday, ranked the chances of most of the leading presidential aspirants in the country.
The survey asked Nigerians on who their favourite presidential candidate is in both political parties and the challenges they should addressed.
Judged across all 467 responses, the most preferred candidates for the office of the president were Peter Obi (46 percent) while Vice President Yemi Osinbajo came second with 28 percent.
Bola Tinubu got 7.5 percent while Alhaji Atiku Abubakar got 3 percent.
The most preferred candidates for the vice presidency were Aminu Tambuwal who got 28 percent, Musa Kwankwaso got 19 percent, Peter Obi got 16 percent, Bukola Saraki got 6.9 percent, Nyesom Wike got 6.4 percent while Prof Yemi Osinbajo got 5.8 percent.
Preffered Presidential candidate from Southern Nigeria were Peter Obi (51.2 percent) and Prof Yemi Osinbajo (26.6 percent).
Also, the Southern respondents preferred Aminu Tambuwal (30.2 percent), Peter Obi (16.6 percent), and Musa Kwankwaso (16.6 percent) for the office of the vice president.
But the poll indicated that northern people want Pro Yemi Osinbajo (34.2 percent), Peter Obi (20 percent) and Musa Kwankwaso (13.2 percent) as presidents.
The respondents’ preferences for the vice presidency were Musa Kwankwaso (32.9 percent), Aminu Tambuwal (17.1 percent), and Peter Obi (14.4 percent).
