2023: Northern Youths In South West Calls For Non-violence

Northern youths living in the South Western States of Nigeria have called for non-violence elections in the country in the 2023 general elections.



The Northern youths also declared non-violence or political thuggery in the elections. 




Speaking on behalf of the youths, the chairman of Northern Nigeria Youth organizations, Lagos State chapter and zonal Coordinator, South West, Comrade Salisu Sani Danmuttaqa, said they want a peaceful election adding that everyone must contribute his or her quarter for a successful election.

“On behalf of the entire Northern Nigeria Youth and the Youth population of Nigeria, we the Executives and members of Northern Nigeria Youth Organisation (NNYO) Lagos state are using this medium to advise all Nigeria youths to eschew bitterness, strive and apathy and promote peace, unity and love. 




“Irrespective of religion,tribal, cultural and social differences. We the Youth should desist from being used or deployed as thugs and agents of political or social threat, intimidation and violence. We must lead by example at this crucial moment in our dear nation’s life, we need ourselves for a better tomorrow,” Danmuttaqa said.




“Therefore, we declare and stand against violence, drug abuse, and vote buying. Political corruption will not be acceptable,” Danmuttaqa said while urging the youths to use their PVCs correctly, rightly, responsibly and wisely without violence. 




“We call on all political and community leaders not to incite or heat up the polity irrespective of their political divides,” Danmuttaqa said while calling on the youths to be youthful, useful and fruitful.

Danmuttaqa also wish muslim faithful peaceful sallah celebration, saying, “may Allah accept our prayers and supplication. Barka da sallah.”
