Following the leaked sextape that involved Nigeria’s songstress, Tiwa Savage that has made tongues wagging, the national president, Coalition of Nigeria Entertainers, Kenule Nwiya jnr has advised people to desist from adding fuel into fire while sabotaging and blackmailing innocent Nigerians and creatives.

The national president who made this known in a statement in Abuja recently stated that what happened to the musician could have happened to anybody.

He advised people to support the singer instead of mocking her at this period in time.

“It’s so sad seeing the viral video of a member of the creative industry in the person of Tiwa Savage. Tiwa is somebody that has added value to the Industry. But the video making rounds is worrisome. What we have to do is not throwing stones at her.

“I’m using the medium to advise all members of the creative industry and entertainers to be very careful when they go about their personal transactions. We are very influential around the world and have to thread with caution because we are role models. There are people behind us, young entertainers, Nigerians around the world are looking up to us because of the value we are adding to the world.

“In as much as this has happened, we don’t need to fight out own because we are all Nigerians. We don’t need negativity about our own. You know Nigeria is a country with lots of potentials. So please, anybody that has taken sabotage or blackmailing as part of their jobs, we are appealing that they desist from such. Why? Because this would bring dent to the image of our country as the creative practitioners are the ones adding value to the economy.

“So people should desist from blackmailing members of the creative industry and great citizens of Nigeria. We would never allow any member of the creative Industry to either be sabotaged or blackmailed again. We are calling on the security agencies to investigate this matter because Tiwa Savage isn’t aware that someone got a hold of the video.

That’s her private transaction for God sakes. If you watch it, you would noticed someone sneaked in with a camera just to defame her. We will not take it. The perpetrators must be brought to book and we urge the law enforcement agency to sweep into action. Nigeria isn’t a lawless country. This must stop and we stand by our colleague Tiwa Savage,” he concluded
